FROM
THE MANAGERS DESK
2009 is going to be a tough
year with the economic crisis currently taking a
strangle hold. Tourism forecasts predict
a decline in visitation up to 4-6% for
international and domestic tourism $. Tourism
Southern Highlands (TSH) has put together a
'stimulus' package of marketing activity to drive
visitation into the Southern Highlands and TSH Partners
will shortly receive details of the program with
possible participation opportunities.

BENEFIT OF THE MONTH
As
a TSH Partner, there are many different
benefits of partnership. Are you taking advantage
of as many of these benefits as possible? This
month lets look at the benefit of displaying your
brochure at the Visitor Information Centre (VIC).
All TSH Partners are able to display one DL size
brochure at the VIC. Do you have your
brochure on display? And if not, then why?
The Mittagong VIC attracts 90,000-100,00 visitors a
year. You may be missing out on valuable leads or
bookings. These brochures are also mailed out to
enquiries where applicable and as such are an invaluable
source of information which reaches potential visitors
to assist in the planning of their trip to our
region. If you don't currently have a brochure for
your business, then you might like to ask yourself why
not? There are many reasons why 'printed
matter' is still a hugely important c ommunication tool
for your business and can enhance your business by
working in conjunction with your
website.
Here is a
reference booklet on how to design a tourism brochure
which may be of interest: booklet AND here is a copy of ALL of the
Partnership Benefits available. Which ones are you
taking advantage of? Partnership Prospectus
