OUT & ABOUT
Leading international Food journalists visited our region on
Wednesday 24 June as part of a Tourism Australia and Tourism NSW familiarisation. TSH hosted four international food journalists from Singapore, China, Taiwan and Canada, here as part of the press launch for the new Sydney International Food & Wine Festival which will take place during the month of October.  The group undertook cheese making at the Small Cow Farm in Robertson, sampled local produce on the plate at Centennial Restaurant, and berry farming at Cuttaway Creek Raspberry Farm

In a further media promotion, the Southern Highlands hosted a special dinner at Eschalot Restaurant in Berrima on Friday 26 June for Delicious magazine readers.  The dinner showcased the best of our local produce in a menu created by Eschalot Chef and Owner, Richard Kemp.  With over 80 diners, the dinner was patronised by locals and visitors alike, along with special guests in Kylie Walters, Editor of Delicious magazine and Bindi Gove, Tourism Advisor to the Federal Minister For Tourism.  The reader dinner initiative was part of a co-operative event by Delicious and Tourism NSW.  TSH assisted in hosting the event.
