TSH SECRETS Campaign was launched on Friday 5 June
at Tertini Wines in Mittagong. This campaign is
the largest advertising and promotional campaign to be
undertaken by TSH for many years. It is a
dedicated promotion for the Southern Highlands to
influelnce visitation during our Winter months. It
is being undertaken with the support of Tourism NSW
(TNSW) and Capital Country Tourism
(CCT).
This integrated promotion will see
the Southern Highlands advertised in all forms of media
in our major domestic markets of Sydney, Canberra and
the Illawarra. To view the media plan click
here.
A
big thanks goes out to our TSH Members who have chosen
to be a part of the SECRETS
Campaign.
Also a new television commercial has been
produced for the Campaign. Visit the revamped TSH
Website www.southern-highlands.com.au

MEDIA & INDUSTRY
PROMOTION During May
we saw a number of key media / industry visits into the
Southern Highlands together with lots of print, online and TV media exposure as
follows:
- The
TNSW Visiting Journalist Program has
seen visits to the Southern Highlands by journalists
from Hong Kong, and
Thailand. The Illawarra Fly
Treetop Walk is proving to be extremely popular with
these markets. Visits to Centennial Vineyards Winery
& Restaurant, Milton Park Country House &
Destination Spa, and the Manning Motel have also been
on the agenda.
- Again via
the TNSW Visiting Journalist Program,
we hosted a visit by Richie Kenzie from Travel
Weekly who overnighted at Peppers Manor
House. We also saw a day visit by Oliver Segawa,
a Holiday Pacific inbound tour
representative based in Singapore.
- The Illawarra Mercury & The
Mercury Weekend
Magazine covered stories on the
Bradman Museum of Cricket, Peppers Manor House and
Craigieburn Resort. The Fitz Roy Iron Works was
also featured in a full page story.
- WIN TV and ABC Illawarra, provided
great coverage of the new SECRETS
Campaign.
- The Sydney
Morning Herald featured Harpers Mansion
and the SMH Good
Living featured the Journeyman
Restaurant.
- The Sun
Herald highlighted food & wine in
the Southern Highlands.
- The Sunday
Telegraph showcased the Short Breaks
promotion.
- Readers Digest featured
food and wine, click
here
- Vogue Entertaining &
Travel featured the Southern Highlands
as part of the Surrounds Short Break Destination
Promotion, focusing on a "taste" of what we have to
offer, Centennial Vineyards and Eschalot were both
given a special mention.
- Queensland's Sunday Mail
recently featured the BookTrail, Links House and lots
of local businesses from Bundanoon to
Berrima.
- We will be welcoming the Delicious
Magazine into the Southern Highlands on 4
& 5 June, they will be photographing various
restaurants, cafe, wineries and accommodation for a
feature on our region. More on this next
month.
We also need
to make special mention for one of our members being
GuideDrive, who have been successful in obtaining great
coverage for not only their GuideDrive product, but also
for the Southern Highlands as a drive region. They
were recently featured in the Illawarra
Mercury and in the St George
Leader in January. It is great to see
individual businesses acheive marketing success, so if
you have had similar success with your marketing let us
know!
