HAPPY NEW YEAR
A warm welcome to the start of 2010 to all of our industry members and associates!  Following on from a successful 2009 we are excited by what's in store for 2010.  We're sure that the year ahead will have its ups and downs, but are confident that through a co-operative industry approach we will all again see some major goals kicked this year.  Already our Visitor Information Centre here in Mittagong has seen great visitor numbers through the door, generating strong retail sales and bookings - lets hope this is just a sample of what 2010 holds for us all.

Thanks to all of our members and guests who attended our now annual 'Christmas On The Green' Celebration in December - an evening of much merriment and celebration with great food and wine enjoyed by all.

2010 SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS HOLIDAY PLANNER & MAP
A BIG thank you to all our members who have supported the new 2010 Southern Highlands Holiday Planner & Map.  Due to be published in February for immediate release and distribution, this edition will showcase the Southern Highlands and its vast array of trails and experiences, a must have for all potential visitors planning their visit to our region.

A DAY ON THE GREEN
2010 already sees three 'A Day On The Green' events in place at Centennial Vineyards in Bowral, Ronan Keating on 24 January, Rob Thomas on 14 February & Diana Krall on 7 March.  These events continue to provide major economic and social benefits to the Southern Highlands, still attracting on average 7,000 spectators per concert, the forward flowing rewards for our tourism industry are huge!  The struggle to find accommodation to meet the growing daily requests for these events proves to be the only downside.  So if you still have availability for any of these dates, make sure you advise the VIC at Mittagong, ASAP.

NEW EVENT CO-ORDINATOR
TSH is delighted to welome Lisa Evans (Monday 18 January), as our newly appointed Events Co-Ordinator.  Lisa comes to us with vast experience and enthusiasm for this demanding role.  With the major focus for 2010 being the 50th Anniversay of our Tulip Time Festival, Lisa's appointment is long awaited and we wish her well in this exciting position.
