Tulip Time Dinner Dance

Thurs 22 September, 6.30pm-11pm

A grand night of great performing artists who brought the ‘70s Countdown era to life.  A star-studded line-up with Marty Rhone (Tulip Time Ambassador), John Paul Young, Dinah Lee and Ray Burgess.

Held at the Mittagong RSL and hosted by Donnie Sutherland, ‘70s iconic TV host.

Celebrate Tulip Time in a party atmosphere filled with live music, dancing and 3-course dinner. Proceeds go to Parkinson’s NSW.

Tulip Time Community Breakfast in the Park

Annual free breakfast for the whole community. Held in Corbett Gardens and hosted by 2ST.

PARADE 4 PARKINSON’S

Tulip Time Street Parade

 

Sat 24 Sept 3pm

Annual family favourite, the Tulip Time Street Parade attracts thousands of spectators along Bong Bong Street, Bowral.

Marching bands, community groups, car clubs, floats and more all perform, play, ride, drive and dazzle their way along Bong Bong Street in a 3km long procession.

 

PEDALLING 4 PARKINSON’S

SCCSydney Cycling Club Ride

Sat 24 September, 3pm

Tulip Time’s largest annual fundraising event. Around 120 Sydney Cycling Club participants ‘Ride for a Reason’ from Sydney to Bowral, joining the Street Parade in their final leg.

PAGEANT with PURPOSE 4 PARKINSON’S

Tulip Time QUEEN

An important part of Tulip Time for many decades, the Tulip Time pageant was reinstated in 2010. This year’s crowning will take place at the Tulip Time Dinner Dance at the Mittagong RSL.

Food & Wine Fair

Sat 24 & Sun 25 September

A 2-day street fair celebrating food and wine of the Southern Highlands and beyond. A section of Wingecarribee Street is closed to traffic and lined with stalls. Visitors can sample fresh and prepared local food and wine.

Also open evening of Sat 24 Sept for ‘Tulips After Dark’.

A 2-day street expo highlighting products for the house and garden. The street adjacent to Corbett Gardens is closed to traffic and lined with stalls. Visitors can purchase or sample products for their house and garden.

Tulips After Dark

A sensational evening in Corbett Gardens with the lighting of the park followed by live music and night markets & stalls.

Entertainment includes Luke Lukess from My Future Lies and retro band, One Eyed Jacks for a great night of music, food and fun. A nostalgic surprise is in store for this year’s Tulip After Dark.

Entry by gold coin donation. Gates open at 6.30pm.

TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIPS

Self guided tour through Corbett Gardens

20 September – 3 October

Free self-guided tour (replacing previously led tour) through Corbett Gardens’ tulip beds. This horticultural trail identifies tulips and notable tree specimens throughout the park.

Available at entry gates and Tulip Time Information Office.

Shire-wide tulip displays

20 September – 3 October

Barrels filled with purple and white tulips have been spread throughout the shire towns and villages of Berrima, Bundanoon, Exeter, Robertson.

PAINT THE TOWN PURPLE 4 PARKINSON’S

Shire-wide shop window displays

20 September – 3 October

Retail shops throughout the shire fill their windows with purple, this year’s theme colour.  The competition is heated as shops vie top place. Winners will be announced at the Business to Business Expo on 22 Sept. Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
