2018 Southern Highlands Writers' Festival
Friday 20th July, from 6.30pm - The Empire Cinemas – Bowral
The Opening Night Event will begin with the Australian launch of Book Towns, by Alex Johnson. Book Towns takes readers on a richly illustrated tour of these captivating literary towns, including Bowral. This will be followed by the launch of Bowral-based author, Alexandra Springett’s children’s book, The House on the River. Then the main feature of the Opening Night Event will be a special advanced screening of the film The Wife, based on Meg Wolitzer’s 2003 novel starring Glenn Close.

Saturday 21st July, from 9.30am – The Highlands School of Performing Arts, Bowral
This inspiring day will feature in-conversations with six fascinating female authors, including Nicola Moriarty, Michelle Scott Tucker and Virginia Lloyd, who will be speaking about their latest work.
