At one stage in his life, Robert was described as one of the few mad people who could make decisions about most areas of his life, but who simply had to paint! He has exhibited with the likes of Ian Fairweather, Eva Kubbos, John Olsen, Stanislav Rapotec, John Coburn and Brett Whitely. He’s also spent time with one of the world’s most renowned sculptors, Henry Moore.

As Robert approaches 90, he has an urgency to share what he has learnt from the last 50 years of painting. The retrospective will include the exhibition, talks and an elegant dinner for 40 guests in the grand pink mansion at Retford Park. During the dinner, guests will have the opportunity to have an open end discussion with Robert.

You will learn fascinating stories of how Robert was discovered as an avant garde artist of the 1950s; the highs and lows of his career and personal interactions with Australian and international artists of his era.

Please note: a percentage of the sales will be donated to the Doug Hall Foundation.
