The final concert in the 2018 Bowral Autumn Music Festival in St Jude's Church, Bowral, will be presented by the Festival’s residential ensemble Acacia. The program is titled "Italian Serenade' and includes two works by composers commonly associated with opera - Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini. Verdi composed a string quartet whilest awaiting the delayed premiere of Aida. Puccini composed 'I Crisantemi' (the Crysanthemum) in response to the death of a friend. Also on the program are works by Hugo Wolf and Australian composer John Peterson. The latter work was composed especially for the Acacia Quartet.
