Carol Willis invites you to her solo show “Drawing to Remember - Rosemary for Remembrance” at the Bowral Art Gallery, 1 Short Street, Bowral.
The exhibition will feature Drawings, Silversmithing, Printmaking and Paintings by Carol, who has a long established art-making practice. She has previously exhibited in Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, The Australian National Gallery and also here in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
Carol talks about artmaking in the following way:-
“Drawings are simple, mostly linear, paring down of moments in time. Few things in this world are static. Life’s only constant is change. Silversmithing is a joy - making malleable a metal, seeing its molten form is sumptuous. The result is sculptural and wearable. Printmaking is serendipitous, despite all efforts, the print has a life of its own. Painting is purely of image - the intentional and unintentional marks made.”
On Friday 22 June from 6.30pm, Carol
