The Cathedral Singers will make their annual visit to Bowral on Sunday 21 May singing Evensong (from the Book of Common Prayer) at 2.30pm to be followed by a brief recital. 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the composer T Tertius Noble who was organist at Ely Cathedral, York Minster and then for thirty years at St Thomas Church on 5th Avenue New York. At Evensong, the choir will sing Noble’s setting of the canticles in the key of B minor. The music at the recital will be by Palestrina, Mozart, Schubert and the English composers Ireland, Dark and Sumsion.
