An exhibition of paintings, burial pole, mimi figure, digeridoos, woomeras, dilly bags, silk hangings and scarves, artefacts and beaded jewellery.
Necklace making is a traditional part of Aboriginal culture and each stage plays an integral part from seed collection to wearing necklaces during ceremonies. Necklaces are worn by both men and women during ceremonies relating to sexuality and fecundity.
From the private collection of Jan Karras owner of Raglan Gallery, this wonderful selection of Aboriginal artwork includes pieces from Maxi Tjampitjinpa, Colin Dixon - Papunya Tula Artists, Wenton Rubuntja, Annette Pitjara, Maudie Peterson Nungarrayi, Theo Brown Tjapaltjarri, and others..
