Jane Lawson is our guest cook for this fabulous and inspiring class as we learn & cook as Japanese home cooks. Jane has 20 years experience in the food world as a food publisher & author. Jane calls Kyoto her second home & hosts regular luxury cuisine & culture tours through her business Zenbu Tours. A hands - on cooking class for a maximum of 12 people. We will learn, cook, laugh & enjoy some good music. Then we do the dishes while you enjoy the food prepared with a glass of Southern Highlands wine.

Recipes include -

Kakuni – a slow simmered pork dish in sweet soy broth
Chawan mushi – steamed savoury custard with prawns and vegetables
Karaage (marinated and fried chicken)
Ohitashi (blanched and lightly dressed seasonal vegetables)
Quick tsukemono (pickles)
Zosui (rice soup) with miso
