SYNOPSIS

Zain, a 12 year old boy, faces a judge.
The Judge asks Zain “Why are you suing your own parents?”
Zain replies, “For giving me life”.
Labaki’s CAPHARNAÜM received a 15-minute standing ovation as well as the Jury Prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, is a profound, politically charged fable, featuring mostly non-professional actors, about a child who launches a lawsuit against his parents.
