Journey with local farmer and butcher, John Mauger, to get a unique insight into Maugers Meats' grass-fed beef and lamb operation. Our paddock to plate tour will take you from the family farm, "Laurel View", where John grew up, to the historical Maugers Meats Butcher Shop in Burrawang, where John ran the family butchery business for over 40 years. You will have the opportunity to learn, from the source, about every step of where your meat comes from and how Maugers Meats produce their premium quality locally grown meat. The three hour tour includes a short presentation on Maugers' beef and lamb production, morning tea, farm tour, meat tasting (slow cooked Maugers' meat on a soft bread roll with our house made chutney or relish - a local speciality!) and beef boning demonstration - "the Art of Butchery" - at the Burrawang shop.
