Come along and enjoy a morning of planting native grasses and shrubs under the trees at Gibbergunyah Creek. No prior experience is needed. Council's Bushcare Team and Community Nursery volunteers have propagated over 1200 native plants for this project.
All the holes will be dug and plants supplied. A short welcome and site induction will take place before work commences. Children are very welcome and will need to be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. There is no need to register, just turn up on the day.
The planting day is part of the Three Creeks Rehabilitation Project, a three-year project funded by Council, the NSW Environmental Trust and South East Local Land Services. This project is about restoring and rehabilitating degraded reaches of Gibbergunyah, Chinamans and Ironmines Creeks.
