The Small Farm Field Day will once again be held at the Moss Vale Showground on the 3rd and 4th February.
The Hawkesbury Kelpie Working Dogs will be demonstrating throughout the weekend including rounding up a up a mob of sheep, putting them into a drench race and running along their backs, working the mob up a ramp onto a platform, backing the mob and more. Kids can also say hi to the dogs afterwards.
Allan Burnett from the Reptile Awareness Displays of Australia will talk about behaviors and characteristics of snakes, techniques and tips to avoid those bites and most importantly, the latest first aid treatment … plus you can get up close to some of them.
The SSAA Rifle Range will also put your firing skills to the test over the weekend.
This year the Small Farm Field Day will see two new attractions that visitors will not want to miss. Tim from Boggy Creek will be putting on his famous show that will include horsemanship and whip cracking, even whilst standing on the back of his horse.
The other activity that will delight many is the team from ShowMow Racing, one of the states ride-on mower racing teams. Visitors can become temporary members and give it a go themselves.
