National Trust (NSW) at Golden Vale announces concerts and events in the Southern Highlands, with composer-in-residence Tim Dargaville.

Mr Dargaville was announced as one of six Prelude Composer in Residence recipients late last year. He has been in residence at Golden Vale Homestead in March during his 5 week stay.

The first concert, 'Speaking in Tongues', will be held at Golden Vale Homestead on 15 March, 2019. It will feature a presentation and discussion by Dargaville, an award-winning composer with a national and international profile whose music is a distinctive voice in recent Australian contemporary music, providing insight into this work. He will talk about his innovative artistic practice, presenting new music drawing from diverse experiences in intercultural music-making. Works connecting to traditional arts practices in South India will be discussed, as well as a major project for internationally renowned Australian chamber music ensemble Ironwood.
