That said, those who love higher intensity workouts like cycling or running are starting to discover the amazing restorative and balancing elements of yoga. Yoga is especially good at relieving tight muscles that need deep opening. Yoga can also help counteract muscle stiffness, protect against injury, and help build strength in supporting muscles.
Over 2 weekend sessions, come and learn yoga poses that you can add to your regular stretching routine to help counteract specific problem spots, aid you to develop deeper core strength, and speed recovery after injury. Take home a simple routine to add to your workout, and do yourself a favour. It may give you the edge in your next competition!
