A dreamer, an adventurer and an artist, Sobrane takes us on an exciting journey with a visual narrative. A Gypsy artist of free spirited adventure....
From nature to canvas, Sobrane magically transforms pigments of ink, pastel and charcoal into grand life-like pieces. The biggest challenge of putting together this exhibition was recreating those memories and translating her adventure onto a one-dimensional canvas. The use of these mediums encourages the fluidity of movement, allowing Sobrane to articulate her expression onto canvas in an uninhibited manner. From countless hours of bird watching, observing the details of the slightest moves they made and how they reacted, she appreciated each bird for its individualism in its expressions and movements. Identifying with their energy and freedom, similar principles she lives by, she felt an instant connection to them. She has embarked on a quest to share the inspiration and earnest happiness that these majestic creatures have brought her through her art.
